Sundays in November I’ll be singing at Selah Restaurant with guitarist Ben Ackland. I’ve fallen in love with jazz standards – improvising within a form turns out to be one of the most fun things I get to do in front of an audience.
Selah is a great venue with impressive food and a great vibe. They focus on sustainable, seasonal and unprocessed ingredients, sourced from small producers to present simple, tasty dishes.
Ben Ackland plays beautifully and effortlessly and is one of my favourite guitarists. He plays on my album “Home Is Where The Art Is” and I’m really looking forward to making some lovely music with him over these four Sunday nights in November (6pm – 9pm).
